The Tooth Fairy’s Job Is Done — Now, Let’s Straighten Things Out!
We typically begin treatment once your teen’s adult teeth are nearly all in, usually around ages 11-13. Starting treatment at this stage allows us to work efficiently and effectively, ensuring optimal results in a timely manner. Our goal is to minimize treatment time while achieving the best possible outcome.
For treatment options, both braces and clear aligners are available. Traditional metal or ceramic braces are effective for aligning teeth using brackets and wires. Alternatively, clear aligners are a nearly invisible option that gradually move teeth into place with a series of custom-made trays. Both options work for most cases, and the choice ultimately depends on your teen’s lifestyle, preferences, and orthodontic needs.

Braces are a fixed solution that are always working. Aligners are removable, offering more convenience for eating and cleaning. Both options are highly effective with proper compliance, however the more complex cases are still best treated with braces. We’ll help determine which one works best for your teen’s needs.
